ARC DECRA Research Fellow

Laboratoire d'Océanographie de Villefranche sur Mer, FRANCE

Steeve is from the South of France, where he grew up near the Mediterranean Sea. He received a PhD in Marine Biology from the Université Pierre et Marie Currie in 2010 for his research on the impact of environmental changes on pteropods. He worked from 2011 to 2015 in California where he studied the effects of global changes on coral reefs. His current research at UWA focuses on understanding how changes in calcification and dissolution, at sub-organism, species, and community scales affect the calcium carbonate budgets of entire reefs in a rapidly changing ocean.
