Danielle is a PhD candidate at James Cook University (Townsville campus) studying patterns in benthic and pelagic species assemblages on the GBR. Her research involves examining how statistical models can be used to map the patterns in biodiversity across large regions, and how those maps can then be utilized for conservation planning.

Project title: Biogeographic analysis of the GBR as a case study to guide better marine management
