Another successful ‘Coral CoE Seminar Series’ comes to a close

ARC CoE for Coral Reef Studies

Don’t Miss Out! Your last chance to catch the 2017 Coral CoE Seminar Series is Thursday!

Coral CoE will deliver its final seminar for the 2017 season on Thursday, 7 December at 12 noon. The seminar titled ‘Understanding larval fish physiology supports management and conservation of marine fishes’ will be led by Dr Björn Illing.

Since 2006, the Centre has delivered its weekly series to stakeholders and the interested public. That’s over 500 presentations delivered by researchers from across a spectrum of experience – students, early career researchers and highly distinguished senior scientists, about a range of Centre related topics.

This would not be possible without the Centre’s commitment to build human capacity and expertise in coral reef science worldwide, and the tireless hours of our volunteer seminar coordination team. This year alone, they successfully delivered close to 50 presentations with topics ranging from underwater photography to the adaptive strategies of corals.

As the year rapidly comes to a close, the Centre extends its gratitude to the team – A/Prof Tracy Ainsworth, Dr Sofia Fortunato and Dr Andrew Song. A job well done!

Catch the 2018 series starting in mid-February. To stay informed, please subscribe to our email list here.

If you can’t make the seminars, you can catch a selection of presentations on the Centre’s YouTube Channel.
