Research Interests
Metabolic interactions between symbiotic dinoflagellates and their
invertebrate hosts; inorganic carbon acquisition in marine symbioses;
the role of carbonic anhydrase in marine symbioses; photosynthesis in
symbiotic dinoflagellates; the role of lectins and a2-macroglobulin
in the immunology of tridacnids.
Current Research Programs
- Carbonic anhydrase structure and function in the coral symbiosis
- Mechanisms of inorganic carbon acquisition and photosynthetic fixation in corals
