PhD Scholarship in Climate Change
$19930 per annum for 3 years
Location: James Cook University, Townsville
The ARC Centre of Excellence for Coral Reef Studies at James Cook University in collaboration with Sustainable Tourism CRC offers a Joint PhD scholarship in the following topic:
Impacts of Climate Change on Great Barrier Reef Tourism Operators:
- Assess the environmental monitoring by tour operators of the impacts of climate change on coral reefs, such as coral bleaching, changes to marine fauna and crown of thorns starfish outbreaks.
- Identify what operators and government can do to slow or reduce the consequences of climate change on their operations.
The scholarship is offered for commencement in 2007 or 2008 and is valued $19,930 per annum for a maximum of three years.
